Good book...very humorous!!
Very cute story. I love when authors include animals in their stories. Victoria Alexander is one of my favorite authors because she captures your attention early and keeps it throughout her stories.
I was happy to find this lovely story as an eBook. I read it several years ago and then lost track of the anthology it was in, so I wasted no time purchasing and reading this novella.
I am happy to say that this story of love lost and found was as wonderful as I remembered. Oliver and Diana are great protagonists and the dogs are delightful. This story will be on my annual Christmas reading list.
Diana and Oliver have a past - they were both young and in love but were separated by lies told to the by Diana's father. Both think that the other has rejected them.
Oliver has returned to his boyhood home after the death of his beloved Aunt who has left her home and her beloved Three Kings (Yorkies) to Oliver. She has also arranged to have a dog trainer help him with the transition. She brings her dog - Shakespeare, a Great Dane - with her....
Oliver and Diana meet again - no longer young and love struck - but as adults.
This is a lovely story of reunion and love rekindled at Christmas time.
